I am an Integrative psychotherapist, registered with and accredited by the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I trained and work in London.
Busy lives can leave little time for attention to compromised mental health and emotional struggles.

I believe that the first step is to start the conversation and I work to help with issues such as navigating major life transitions, bereavement, relationship difficulties, adverse childhood events including the symptoms of psychological difficulties such as anxiety, depression, disordered eating, and trauma.

My approach is grounded in warmth, curiosity, and practicality. I believe that meaningful change happens when we feel heard and understood, and my goal is to help you gain clarity, confidence, and to move forward in ways that feel right for you.

About Me
I trained to be a counsellor at 29 while I was working in arts administration, researching exhibitions and archiving photography. I worked for Nightline as a student and the seeds of curiosity and desire to be a therapist were sewn then.

After 10 years in the arts I began to dovetail work with my training and within 4 years was working full time as a counsellor.
I returned to study in 2010 to gain a Masters in Psychotherapy.

I continue to nurture my interest and love for photography, film and art.

Experience
I trained on placements at The Place 2 Be, Goldsmiths and City Lit Universities followed by
permanent roles at Bedfordshire University and a global Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).
I have also worked as a counsellor, Mental Health Mentor at The Royal Central School of Speech & Drama and as a student counsellor for The LSE. Some former student clients have returned to work privately and longer term with me after graduating.
I have a lot of experience working with under graduate, masters and PhD students as well as working with adults of all ages and stages of life.

I now divide my week between private practice and working as a Lead counsellor for students at The Courtauld Institute of Art.

Relevent Education
Certificates and advanced diplomas in Integrative Counselling - CPPD School of Counselling 1999-2003.

BACP Accreditation achieved 2008.

MA Integrative Psychotherapy - The Minster Centre 2010-2014.
Focus
I work time-limited or for open ended periods, as required.

Clients seek therapy facing a range of concerns, including but not limited to, anxious symptom such as OCD or perfectionism, grief, adverse childhood events, relationships, low mood, depression, disordered eating, identity, sexuality, fertility, life-changes and social anxiety.
Acute feelings of crisis can be relieved through psychotherapy and over time evolve into deeper understanding of the self.

I work integratively and relationally; I am client focused and work with the unconscious to give voice to what might be happening beneath the surface of awareness. The relationship is key in my approach and can help us understand how a person might experience the larger world and their personal relationships.
